As the bell rang, the halls of Karakura High became cluttered with students in transition to lunch. Through the
waves of students, two familiar shinigami can be spotted.
"This shouldn't be too hard" Proclaimed Toshiro, as him and Kenpachi steadily searched the premises for the possessed
student.
"How should we know who to look for?" Kenpachi asked as he ran his fingers through his hair. "I mean the
info Kisuke gave us was very vague."
"Though that may be so," Toshiro started, "It is up to you and me to complete this mission. Be on the lookout
for any weird behavior."
The two made their way into the cafeteria, in which a lone girl at a table by herself drew their attention.
They had noticed the girl when they had went to the karate club earlier, but something was different.
"Aye, Toshi.... wasn't there a guy with her?" Kenpachi asked Toshiro, bewildered by his observation. Toshiro
turned his head and gasped as he realized Kenpachi was right.
Suddenly, the student stood up and walked out the cafeteria as Kenpachi and Toshiro followed her.
As they steadily followed her, their route eventually ended up outside. The girl stopped and turned around
with an eerie look on her face.
"Why are you following me?" She asked in a monotone voice. A slight chuckle escaped her lips.
"Toshi, be cautious..." Kenpachi said as he leaned in close to Toshiro.
"Oh?" She exclaimed. "You've come to reclaim this poor girl's soul? You'll never get it back!" She threw her
head back as she laughed maniacally.
Glistening just barely were strings, strings that were attatched to her body.
"It's a puppeteer hollow.." Toshiro stated as he pull out his Soul Candy Dispenser Urahara gave the
both of them before going on the mission.
The laughing of the girl got deeper, and a black aura surrounder her. The hollow appeared from behind her
holding the strings that were controlling the girl.
"Help....me...." the girl spoke out before she was thrown harshly to the side.
"The boy," Kenpachi started, "what happened to him?"
"Oh...I devoured his SOUL!!!! JUST AS I WILL YOURS!!!!" Just then the hollow sped towards the
two ready to slash at them.
Toshiro and Kenpachi ate the Soul Candy and withdrew their Zanpaku-tos.
"KRINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEE"
The hollow's claws met with the Shinigamis' swords, pushing them back because of the brute force.
"Your souls look soooooo appetizing!" The hollow exclaimed. The two Shinigami dug into the ground and used their
combined strength to push the hollow back. After the hollow slid back, it started to charge again.
"Disintegrate, Black Dog of Rondoanani," Toshiro started whie moving his arm in an assortment of movements,
"look upon yourself and burn; tear away your own throat! Way of Binding, Number 9," Toshiro's body began to glow red,
"Strike!!!!!!!!!!"
The hollow's body froze still as his body was surrounded by a red light. It struggled to move its body. Suddenly
he let out a loud laugh.
"The fuck is he laughing about???" Kenpachi asked before he attempted to strike his opponent.
"Do you really think it will be that easy??" the hollow asked before breaking free and attacking Toshiro with
his claws.
Toshiro dodged the attack and stabbed his sword through both the hollow's arm and into the ground.
"No," Toshiro murmured as the hollow groaned in agony, "did you really think you were going to escape
that easy."
"Way of destruction 4: White Lightning!" Kenpachi shouted as a bolt of lightning went speeding towards the hollow,
instantly knocking him back into an adjacent wall.
"It's over!" Toshiro shout as he slashed at the hollow's mask, with him disentagrating in the process.
With it all over, the two exhausted shinigami warriors returned to their gigais walked over to the barelyconscious
girl, who was laying on the ground. She was still breathing, and nothing appeared to be serious.
"Are you okay?" Kenpachi asked the girl.
"Ye.....yess, what happened?" The young girl murmured.
"Nothing, you must have passed out from this heat. Come on, let's get you inside." Kenpachi responded.
